oin the Miami Brickyard, VFW, and The Wounded Warrior Project for a morning of movement, storytelling, and shared community at the beach. On Saturday, April 11th, we’re inviting neighborhood children, students, families, and friends to gather for an energizing outdoor workout followed by a community lunch. If you are not interested in working out, you are welcome to lie under the tents and enjoy two of Miami’s greatest assets- its people and its beaches.

The morning will begin with a guided, all-levels workout designed to build strength, connection, and resilience, core values that shape both physical fitness and civic life. Afterward, we’ll share light refreshments together and create space for meaningful conversation.

As part of our ongoing partnership with the VFW, a local veteran will share a personal story about service, leadership, and the responsibilities of citizenship. This storytelling moment is intended to inspire reflection on courage, community, and what it means to show up for one another.

Beach Day is about more than fitness; it’s about belonging. It’s an opportunity for young people and neighbors to build relationships across age and experience, strengthen community ties, and model civic engagement in action.

About the Miami Chapter

Across cities and towns just like yours nationwide, we serve our communities by starting with bringing different neighbors together for events centered around Service, Social Gatherings, and Civics.

By rolling up our sleeves side-by-side, we can begin to see that we have more in common than what divides us; that first and foremost we are fellow Americans with a common love for our families and communities.

These Chapters – also known as our Brickyards – are mobile places for neighbors to connect and solve local problems. We do this through respectful and open conversations, and to find higher ground as we work together brick-by-brick.

The Miami Brickyard is led by Janett Cordovés.
