Solar Austin Installation

Bike Texas

Join us for hands on installation and education of solar panels at Bike Texas powered by the SUN (and Solar Austin)!

We will bring community members together for this event to get our hands dirty supporting a local community non-profit, while learning about local energy policy, and have some fun conversations and snacks in the process!

If you are looking to spend your time supporting local businesses, learning, and finding a connected community then this event is for you!

Spots are limited, so lock in your space and one for your friend that you are dragging along now!

Volunteers should expect to be outside for the event and able to carry over 50 pounds. Electrical or engineering skills are especially helpful, but not required. The ( am start time is rigid, but the day will most likely not run all the way to 1 pm.

About the Austin Chapter

Across cities and towns just like yours nationwide, we serve our communities by starting with bringing different neighbors together for events centered around Service, Leadership, and Civics.

By rolling up our sleeves side-by-side, we can begin to see that we have more in common than what divides us; that first and foremost we are fellow Americans with a common love for our families and communities.

These Chapters – also known as our Brickyards – are mobile places for neighbors to connect and solve local problems. We do this through respectful and open conversations, and to find higher ground as we work together brick-by-brick.
