A New Name for the Work You Already Know
The Brickyard HQ | March 18, 2026
From The Brickyard Team (formerly +More Perfect Union Team)
If you’ve been with us for any stretch of time, you already know what this organization is made of.
You’ve shown up, served, sat across the table from someone who sees the world differently than you do, and found out you have more in common than the headlines want you to believe.
Or you’ve supported the work that contributes to that. This work doesn’t always make the news, but it makes a difference.
That work isn’t changing. But the name we carry it under is.
Why We Started
It was a simple, stubborn belief: that the greatest threat to America’s future isn’t a specific set of policies, or a political party, or any single political leader. It’s the slow unraveling of the trust and relationships that make communities strong.
Neighbors feel like strangers. Trust keeps wearing thin. A country that’s forgotten how to build anything together because it’s been too busy arguing.
We refused to sit back and watch it happen. So we built something.
Gathering by gathering, neighborhood by neighborhood, we created opportunities across the country where people could start contributing. Third places where parents, veterans, young people, and everyday neighbors could stand shoulder to shoulder and prove that America is worth the work.
That’s what +More Perfect Union was always about.
+More Perfect Union was a beautiful idea — but a hard name to carry into a conversation. It created confusion where there should have been clarity. The work deserved a name as grounded and direct as the work itself.
Meet The Brickyard
A brickyard is gritty, made with hard work, and built brick by brick over time, often by hand. That also describes the work we do.
The Brickyard is a national civic and service organization that brings people together locally — across differences — to build trust, community, and leadership through action.
Our mission hasn’t changed. We still exist to unite the country and strengthen communities through social gatherings, service, and civic connection. From coffee clubs and potlucks to park cleanups and civic conversations, we meet people where they are — in 36 locations and growing.
We gather people in real places, work side by side, and build stronger communities over time.
The Brickyard welcomes all Americans. Founded and led by veterans, our leaders come from diverse backgrounds and sectors of public service, and we are committed to cultivating the next generation of civic leaders.
What’s Coming
On March 31, 2026, +More Perfect Union will continue to press the fight for our country and further our mission under a new name and identity — The Brickyard.
We will engage in this work alongside you and tens of thousands of other courageous Americans, with the same relentless commitment to building a stronger nation together.
A new website. A new chapter. And the same stubborn belief that’s driven every gathering, every service project, every conversation we’ve had across the aisle.
We’re not recreating a perception of a perfect past. We’re building the foundation for a better future.
And we’re doing it together. Shoulder by shoulder, brick by brick.
The future is not something we inherit.
It’s something we lay down because a stronger nation starts on your block.
The Brickyard. Launching March 31, 2026.
Building a stronger nation, together.
