Join The Philadelphia Brickyard as we launch a new virtual book club. A community for community builders. Whether you lead a neighborhood organization, volunteer group, sports team, nonprofit, civic initiative, or another community-centered effort, this is a space to connect with others who share the work of bringing people together.
Building community is meaningful work, but it can also be challenging. This group is designed to be more than a book discussion. Our hope is to create a network of community builders who can learn from one another, exchange ideas, navigate common challenges, and grow together as leaders. Throughout the year, we’ll explore books and ideas from leading voices on community building and belonging, using each as a springboard for thoughtful conversation and practical application.
We’ll gather virtually on the third Thursday of each month, beginning in September. Together, we’ll spend our first several months exploring The Art of Gathering by Priya Parker, using each month’s discussion to dive deeper into the ideas and consider how they apply to our own communities. To help everyone get started, The Philadelphia Brickyard will provide each participant with a complimentary copy of the book.
If you’re passionate about creating places where people feel welcome, connected, and inspired to belong, we’d love for you to join us as we learn, grow, and build stronger communities together.
